Biography

After several years studying physics and being gradually won over by the impressive power of modern computational methods, particularly machine learning, I've taken the leap to pursue my passion: marine conservation.

I've just started a PhD at the University of Cambridge, UK with a coral-loving supervisor. I've set myself the challenge of predicting global coral coverage – present and future – using multimodal data including bathymetry and oceanographic conditions from high-resolution CMIP6 runs. There's plenty more work to be done and directions to explore: I'd love to hear any suggestions on where to take it! As always, I'm on the look-out for collaborations and potential co-supervisors...
